This is for you if you’ve ever felt frustrated with showing up for your business. Maybe you’ve got a lot going on in your personal life and you have no energy left for posting or showing up on video. Here are some low-lift ideas for showing up on those days.

When you’re that frustrated, just wanna shut it all down headspace, it can feel really hard to show up and stick with it. That goes double if your capacity is already lowered due to other factors.

So before I give you ideas, let’s do a quick check-in. How are you feeling?

No seriously, how are you really feeling?

Is there tension in your body? Do you need water? A snack? Just some time to rest?

This is your permission slip to rest if you need it. Forcing yourself to show up when you’re maxed out won’t help, but resting will.

You don’t need to earn a break, you deserve one.

If you made it this far and you want to keep showing up…

Here are some low-lift ideas for those days when you just feeling like shutting it all down.

Show up on IG stories
Stories can be a really accessible and low-lift way to show up using photos instead of chatting on video.

Plus I’m hearing a lot lately that posting to the feed isn’t vibing for tons of people anymore and stories are where they’re engaging, so use that to your advantage.

Post on threads
I finally joined threads recently, and it’s become one of my favorite places to hang out.

The vibe over there feels a lot more easygoing and low pressure, but it’s still a really valuable way to engage with and show up for your community.

Get in the comments
When I’m struggling to show up consistently, engaging via comments on IG and LinkedIn help me show up without the pressure of posting.

Leave comments on posts that you like, but keep it genuine—don’t comment if it’s just for the sake of doing something.

Talk about it (bonus points for bravery)
If you’re feeling comfy with it, be honest and vulnerable with your community.

Share what you’re going through with them—you’re probably not alone, and it can be really supportive to chat with other people about this stuff.

And here’s my best piece of advice—

Have a plan for the days where you feel like burning it all down.

This is something I’m always working on and tweaking as I go, but I like to think of what I do on my high-energy days and distill those things down into smaller actions for low-energy days.

So for me, on a high-energy day, I might do my hair and makeup, set up my tripod, and film some reels.

But on a low-energy day, that might instead look like brainstorming content ideas and making a list, which requires less of my energy, but still moves my business forward cause I can use this for my next high-energy day.

Here’s a quick exercise for you—

Grab a paper and pen and set a timer for 5 minutes. Draw a line down the middle of the paper.

On the left, jot down some of the things you do on high-energy days.

When you’re done, reset the timer and brainstorm ways you can distill each item down into a smaller, more doable chunk for your low-energy days on the right.

Figuring out ways to show up that are specific to your needs is something we tackle in all of my brand design projects. So if you could use a little support with this, I’d love to help you show up on your own terms.

Hey, I’m Kimberly!

I translate thoughts and ideas into visuals that make your brand the main character.

I used to design for a revolving-door corporate office where on any given day, I was juggling eight different projects. EIGHT.

Add that to the three wildly different hats I had to wear and it equaled—*counts on fingers*—one giant migraine.

I realized I way prefer giving ultra-personalized attention to one client at a time and honoring my own rhythms. And so my design studio was born.

Give me your overflowing pinterest board and jumble of sticky notes and we’ll turn your ideas into a visual identity that makes it easy to share your offers and even easier for your dream clients to know you’re the one 😍
